Lost LeBlanc

Christian LeBlanc, better known as Lost LeBlanc, was born in Vancouver, Canada in 1993. He is a travel vlogger and content creator with nearly 2 million YouTube subscribers, over 660,000 Instagram followers, and more than half a million Facebook followers. As of November 2021, his YouTube videos have been watched over 170 million times.

In 2015, Christian was working a 9-to-5 job for an accountancy firm, but he started to feel increasing levels of stress and unhappiness. He realized that this wasn’t what he wanted to do with his life.

He explained his feelings in one of his videos: “I lost my drive, my ambition, to the point where getting out of bed every day became a battle.”

He was unwell and having odd reactions to the pressures in his life — for example, muscle spasms and even brief memory loss. He surveyed his office and realized that nobody around him was living the life he desired.

So he decided to do something about it.

In November 2015, after resigning, Christian took a one-way ticket to Bangkok. He instructed himself in how to make and edit videos and saved enough money to support himself for a while, with the anticipation that he might earn some additional money en route.

He has since grown his online following and achieved remarkable success. He has partnered with prominent brands such as Nikon, Google, Samsung, and Air Canada, and is now also teaching other people how to make a career out of digital content creation.

Lost LeBlanc produces content – videos, Instagram posts, blog posts – on travel. For the most part, this means discussing topics like the top ten places to visit in Bali, how to travel in the Philippines, why he didn’t enjoy his trip to Easter Island, and the top ten beaches in Thailand. He often includes his girlfriend and friends in his videos, providing his subscribers with a personal insight into his life.

He also creates videos informing his subscribers of how they can attain success as travel YouTubers like him. These include videos on topics such as how to edit a travel video, how to generate revenue from social media, how to make a travel vlog, and how to use music in YouTube videos.

The Lost LeBlanc channel is successful because it combines pure travel content with how-to guides.
